Grey Goose's Story

2017 14.3 HH Gray Paso Fino Gelding

“Goose” is a flashy young Paso Fino gelding with a bright future ahead. Rescued from a neglect case, he has been making steady and encouraging progress in his training. This adorable guy has a curious mind and always tries his best to impress—especially when treats are involved!

Goose is halter-broke and currently in groundwork training. He is not yet broke to ride and will require a knowledgeable, trainer-type adopter to continue his education. He is eager to learn and enjoys having a job, but still needs time and consistency to build confidence.

His primary challenge is separation anxiety when leaving his pasture friends. To support him, we’ve implemented a structured routine that gradually increases his distance from the field during each session, paired with positive reinforcement such as affection and snacks. He is also on SmartTranquility to help support his nervous system. This approach has led to noticeable improvement, and Goose continues to gain confidence and independence with each session.

Once Goose can remain calm and relaxed away from his field, we will begin under-saddle training. He is sound, willing, and shows great potential for the right person willing to invest the time.

If you’re seeking a rewarding project and enjoy helping a young horse grow into his potential, Goose may be the horse for you!

Adoption Fee: $900

Apply today at: https://form.jotform.com/231711475494156

Kentucky Equine Adoption Center Inc.'s Adoption Policy
At the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center (KYEAC), we meet horses from all walks of life. In order to adopt one of our horses, we require you to fill out and submit an adoption application. KYEAC will not process any application unless the required photos, proof of residence, and application fee are included. If approved, we will put you in touch with one of our trainers who will work with you to find your perfect equine partner(s). NOTE: All adopters must sign an Equine Adoption and Placement Agreement and pay the adoption fee before the equine leaves KYEAC. Adopters are responsible for transportation arrangements and costs at the time of the adoption and in the event of return. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Please also note that Adopter agrees that the adopted equine may not be raced, bred, sold, given away or assigned by the Adopter, except as otherwise provided in the adoption contract. Further, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted equine at 6 and 12 months after the date of the adoption. Provided the photos and veterinary report from these two inspections are satisfactory, KYEAC will then transfer full ownership of the equine to the Adopter at 12 months via a transfer letter.
