Grace

CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Confident Beginner

Grace is a 2007 Point mare who stands at 15 hands tall and weighs 1,012lbs.
Grace is the kind of horse who makes hitting the trails enjoyable. She has an excellent forward, yet smooth trot and a comfortable canter. Grace stands quietly to be mounted, is good in the arena, and steers with a direct rein. While she's a bit dull to leg pressure, she responds well to bit pressure and is an honest, uncomplicated partner. Grace has been ridden in the arena in a D-ring snaffle and out on the trails around the farm, where she is a confident lead horse. She's also been ridden bareback in a rope halter, showing her willing and easygoing nature. On the ground, Grace can be a little pushy and does best with someone who provides kind, consistent boundaries. Grace does have some remodeling around her fetlocks and noticeable arthritis in her knees, so we recommend her for a trail home where she can enjoy a lighter workload rather than strenuous riding. If you're looking for a safe, dependable trail companion with comfortable gaits and a steady mind, Grace could be your perfect match.

To get approved, please complete a lifetime lease application and email it to info@wyhumane.org
Include with your completed application, pictures of your property including your barn, stall, or run-in shed, pasture, water source, and fencing both close up and a corner picture.

Links to the application and our policies.
