Forrest's Story
📍 Currently in training about an hour north of Fargo, ND

Forrest is a young mustang gelding whose journey has shown just how much heart and try he has. Naturally curious and friendly, he made quick progress during the Dakota Showdown and has continued to grow since then.

After the Showdown, Forrest began working with trainer Marlee, and the difference has been remarkable. He’s become even friendlier and easier to handle, and is now confidently giving all four feet, leading well, standing quietly for grooming, and handling new experiences with ease. Forrest is ready to take the next step into saddle training and would thrive with an adopter who’s excited to continue that journey.

Like many mustangs, Forrest does best with patient, consistent handling. He can still be anxious when something surprises him, but he’s smart, willing, and quick to gain confidence once he understands what’s being asked. His ideal adopter will have solid handling skills and the commitment to guide him through the next stages of his training.

Forrest currently has a large crack in one hind hoof that will benefit from supportive shoeing while it grows out, but otherwise he’s healthy and sound.
