Dixie

A man bought Dixie for his girlfriend, who was interested in her. I believe he/she were told Dixie was childsafe.....had been Amished/driven/worked. Dixie was on the east coast somewhere when he purchased and brought her home. The girfriend and her child had been told Dixie could be ridden by children....and was a very safe horse. They had some struggles with Dixie.....in that she would fuss and not want to move forward. She was difficult to handle at times....doing "her own thing" and not obeying the rider. So the family decided they wanted to find Dixie a new home......as she wasn't what they thought she would be! They seemed to possibly be intimidated by her size?? And she's a very independent horse! On the flip side, the girlfriend rode her the day before she came here, and had no problem with her!!<br/><br/>Adoption fee: $1900
