CLOUD's Story

Meet Cloud! This flea-bitten grey Arabian mare came to Longmeadow in June of 2021. She was several hundred pounds under weight and covered in lice. While Cloud had some minor knowledge of handling skills, it was clear she had several core skills missing. Our volunteer ground work team has spent countless hours working towards creating a solid foundation on the ground, and although Cloud has come so far, she will need continued training from an experienced adopter to help her remember her ground manners. We were not surprised to find that Cloud was not trained under saddle. She will require professional training to begin this process. Don't let this mare's challenging exterior deter you - she is a huge softy when it comes to cuddles and treats. Cloud gets along well with mares, but prefers laid back geldings. Adoption Fee: $400 Height: 14.1HH Carrying Weight: 170lbs (including tack and rider)
