CHARLOTTE's Story

If you're a nut for Saddlebreds, Charlotte may just be the horse for you! Surrendered to Longmeadow in March of 2021, Charlotte was malnourished and nervous. Through lots of love, food, and time she has blossomed into the horse she is today. She is a high energy horse who enjoys working and settles into a routine nicely. Her overall demeanor softens, and she relaxes when put into work. She does prefer to bond with just one or two people and doesn't thrive with multiple handlers due to relying heavily on consistency. Charlotte would be perfectly happy being a pasture pet if you aren't interested in riding. Just for handling her on the ground she will need a confident intermediate handler. She is a kind mare that has never been naughty even when stressed. We are confident that she will blossom in a new home with an adopter who spends time developing her trust. While at the ranch, Charlotte has been ridden at the walk and trot in the indoor arena. She has also been ridden at the walk outside of the arena. If wanted for riding, she will need a confident intermediate rider after receiving a 30-day refresher from a professional trainer. She also would benefit from front shoes if riding is in her future. Adoption Fee: $500.00 Carrying Weight: 210lbs (including tack and rider) Height: 15hh
