Meet Ava - a 17-year-old Paso Fino mare standing just under 15 hands. This sweet lady has truly blossomed during her time with us. When Ava arrived, she was completely unhandled and underweight; today, she is a gentle, confident, and beautiful mare who looks and feels like a whole new horse.<br/><br/>Snacks are the way to Ava's heart, along with a good neck scratch. She enjoys human interaction and has proven to be incredibly smart and curious. Ava leads well, enjoys being groomed, and is comfortable picking up her feet (with her hind feet still a work in progress). She has had all of her vet work completed and has gained significant weight and confidence.<br/><br/>Ava is quick to learn and retains what she's taught. In hand, she has successfully walked over tarps, crossed a bridge, weaved through cones, and moves willingly off pressure. She approaches new experiences with curiosity and continues to build confidence with each session.<br/><br/>Ava is a thoughtful, kind mare who will thrive with a patient adopter looking to continue her education and enjoy a truly special connection.
