Astrid came to GSH from auction with her 5-week old filly at her side. Her initial job was to get healthy and keep her foal healthy. Now that Katniss is weaned, Astrid is looking for a new chance. <br/><br/>Astrid can be a little tough to catch but once caught has good manners. She does tend to require extra feed to maintain her weight and while she clearly knows how to behave for a farrier, she likes to resist with her hinds. She has significant saddle scars on her back so likely has riding training in the past, but has not yet been evaluated.
