April's Story

April is a registered Pinto mare, who like May, spent many years as a pasture pet not being asked to do much of anything. She has been getting an education since coming to OPEN several months ago and has just entered a professional training program.

She is improving in every way; ground work, wearing a saddle and really seems to seek human connection. She is a good girl, but very green and still working on learning some manners! She is a blank slate and could go in any direction. We recommend April goes to an experienced horse person, or remain in professional training for a while longer.
