Acesa

If youve ever wanted a horse with the personality of a stubborn golden retriever, Acesa may be your guy!

Acesa is an incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and playful gelding who absolutely thrives on building relationships with his people. He can be a little standoffish when he first meets someone, but once he realizes you're a friend, hell happily become your shadow. He loves attention, especially back scratches, and will quite literally back himself into position to make sure you can reach his favorite spots! He's playful without being disrespectful and is very attentive to body language and voice cues.

Acesa is a smart boy who seems eager to learn and has shown great potential during ground work. He free-lunges nicely in the arena, responds well to his name, and has even shown off some of his classic Paso Fino stepping. He has been ridden in the past and is considered broke, although his current riding status and suitability for a particular rider have not yet been fully evaluated.

Acesas biggest consideration is his cribbing. He is a very serious, long-term cribber and is essentially addicted to the behavior. He has not tolerated a cribbing collar safely in the past, so management through turnout and environmental changes is preferred. His teeth are significantly worn from cribbing, although he is currently able to eat without difficulty. His adopter will need to have a dental veterinarian evaluate his teeth and discuss appropriate long-term management. He requires soaked grain.

Acesa would likely enjoy having equine friends and plenty of turnout where he can run, gallop, and simply be a horse. His ideal home will be one that understands his cribbing, is committed to his dental care, and wants to develop a genuine partnership with an incredibly sweet and intelligent horse.

Acesa has a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He's the kind of horse who wants to know his person, trust his person, and be involved in whatever his person is doing. For the right home, this special boy has the potential to be an amazing partner.
