She just got caught in the middle of life. <br/><br/>Zuzu's story starts the way too many good dogs' stories do — found as a stray, landed in an overcrowded Detroit shelter, and waiting for someone to see how special she was. A wonderful foster family stepped up, and it didn't take long before she found her forever home... or so we thought.<br/>Zuzu was adopted in April 2025 and by all accounts, she was everything a family could want. But when her parents' marriage ended, she found herself without a home through absolutely no fault of her own. She didn't do anything wrong. She just needs someone new to love her — and trust us, she has so much love to give.<br/><br/>Here's what makes Zuzu so special:<br/>This 2-3 year old, 48-pound sweetheart is the whole package. She's potty trained, crate trained, and currently lives happily alongside kids AND cats, who she absolutely adores.
