Zuri's Story

Hi! My name is Zuri and I am 1 year old border collie mixed with maybe Idaho shag? I am a playful, energetic happy girl looking for an active family to call my own. My long legs and seemingly endless endurance would make me an awesome running or biking partner. Need a camping buddy! I'm your girl and I will carry my own backpack. I really like playing with other dogs; but at the end of the day, I likke to be the "queen" of my household. So I would do best as an only dog (or perhaps with one other tolerant male dog). I currently live with a big, black, male dog in my foster home and I love to bug him (as only a younger sister can do). I love people-- big, small, old, young. I am house-broken, spayed and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

Herding Haven rescues herding dogs from shelters where they have been deemed "unadaptable" due to physical, medical or behavioral issues (or sometimes just because the shelter is out of space). We place them in foster homes, rehabilitate them and then find them "forever" homes.
