ZUKO's Story

?? Zuko is back???? Sadly ??, Zuko has found his way back to the shelter for a second time after a recent adoption. While he has many wonderful qualities, Zuko simply cannot live with ???? cats, so he must go to a cat-free home. Here is Zuko’s original story- Zuko was adopted from us this past September and spent three wonderful months in a loving home. Unfortunately, despite working with a professional trainer, his previous adopters realized they couldn’t provide the level of physical exercise this strong, energetic boy needs. At 71.6 lbs of pure muscle and strength, Zuko simply proved too powerful for their physical abilities. This wasn’t anyone’s fault—sometimes it just takes time to find the perfect match, and Zuko is ready to find his! Zuko has now been with us for a combined 5??4?? days, and he's starting to feel the stress of shelter life. He really enjoys his time out of his kennel, hanging out and playing with our volunteers in the play yard. These moments help him decompress, and it's clear how much he appreciates the extra love and attention. Zuko is a super sweet, smart, and well-mannered for the most part. This handsome boy has so much love to give and is looking for an active family who can keep up with his energy and strength! What We Know About Zuko: ? Smart & Trainable – Knows sit and down commands, working on heel ? House Manners – Appears to be housebroken ? Good Sleeper – Settles down and sleeps through the night ? Gets excited around other dogs! His tail was wagging throughout his interaction with another dog at the shelter, and he handled the other dog’s hyper energy beautifully, just bouncing away when things got too rowdy ????No Cats– Must go to a cat-free home ?? Unknown with Children – Has not been around kids that we know of ??BONUS: Free Training Sessions! ?? Zuko comes with 2 FREE in-person training sessions with the professional Highland K9 trainer who worked with him in his previous home. The trainer already knows Zuko and can help you build on the foundation that’s already been established! Ready to Meet Zuko? If you have the environment, energy, and strength to give this young, strong boy the active lifestyle he deserves, come meet Zuko at the shelter, ??430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC! He’s ready to find his forever home with someone who can truly appreciate his spirit and keep up with his zest for life. #adoptfromicas #myicasrecsue (A306338) German Shepherd/Husky Mix | 3 Years Old | 71.6 lbs ??His adoption FEE is WAIVED and includes: ??
