Zucchini 's Story
Meet Zucchini! She is approximately 10-12 months old and is a mixed breed. She has physical traits similar to a Husky, Pit Bull Terrier or Bull Terrier, but without a DNA test we don't know for sure what she is, other than Pure Bred CUTE!

Zucchini was found curled up on someone's patio way out in the country, and it's unknown if she was lost and just found a safe spot to rest, or if she was abandoned there and found safety near a household. Either way, we promised her that she would not have to experience that again!

Zucchini was a little bit bashful at first, but it took her no time at all to warm up and feel comfortable around us. She's so good in her kennel and just curls up in her dog bed until it's her turn to come out. She keeps her kennel clean, so she seems to be potty trained but a refresher course may be needed so she can learn the new schedule in a home. Since she kennels nicely, we feel that utilizing a crate can also help her with the transition and give her a safe space to call her own.

Zucchini has a nice moderate energy level so far - we think she'd make a great companion for daily walking, hiking & exploring, but we can also see her curled up with you on the couch for a movie night!

We don't know what her history was with other pets or children, so we're learning as we go with her, but she has a sweet temperament and would likely do well as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. We will update her bio on this topic as we learn more. We also think she'd do just fine as an only pet and would not necessarily need any play mates.

Zucchini is a nice 37 lbs and ready to find a new family! If you'd like that to be you, please follow the link below. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved:
https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.html

Zucchini will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $200.
