Zosia's Story
Zosia, DOB approximately 01/01/2025, was a stray. It’s hard to resist her puppy dog eyes, her floppy ears, and her happy personality. She gets excited over just about anything and loves to cuddle. She doesn’t know what personal space is. Be prepared to be smothered in 35lbs of love with Zosia in your home.

She does amazing in her kennel when feeding, when we’re away, and at night (though she’d love to cuddle up in bed!). Potty training is very good - she’ll have an accident if you leave her unattended when out of the house (recommend kenneling when away).

When on a leash she can be loud, but she really wants to PLAY with the dogs she barks at and just feels restrained. Her foster home is working on training to ignore other dogs and no pulling on walks. That said, she really does well with almost all dogs. She did great at the dog bar and has loved the dog in her foster home from the start.

She loves chewing her toys, playing tug o war, and playing chase with the resident dog in her foster home. You can guarantee a round of zoomies at least once a day. She’s a fireball of energy. I would not recommend small children in the home.

Please visit www.handsheartspaws.org for an adoption application

All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, heartworm tested, and they are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home visit, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for this dog is $350___.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs DO REQUIRE a fence. Decide what is best for each dog), we do REQUIRE a means of safe outside containment. We do NOT adopt to homes that use invisible fencing. Invisible fencing is NOT a safe means of outside containment.

We are willing to adopt out-of-state, contingent on our ability to complete a home visit, but you must travel to Omaha to complete the adoption. We do not transport or ship our dogs
