Zoey- Prison Program Graduate's Story

Zoey has officially graduated from our prison raining program at Kinross Correctional Facility.

This smart, loyal girl completed weeks of structured training where she worked on leash manners, routine and confidence-building. She knows cues such as sit, down, stay, wait, free, touch, leave it as well as recall. Her trainers describe her as incredibly intelligent, affectionate with her people and eager to learn.

Zoey thrives with structure and activity. She is highly food motivated and loves praise and cuddles. She would make an excellent companion for someone looking for an active, devoted dog.

Because of her pushy play style and selectiveness with other dogs, Zoey would do best as an only pet or with very careful introductions to compatible dogs. Her trainers noted that she bonded best with calmer, submissive dogs and her dog reactivity is still a work in progress. She will need an owner willing to continue the structure and training.

Please call 906-632-2519 for the quickest response or to schedule a meet and greet.
