Zoey's Story

Some dogs come into rescue with a difficult past. Others come into rescue with hope. Zoey spent much of her young life tied outside and was surrendered to ATTA .

Since entering foster care, Zoey has amazed everyone who has met her. Zoey a young dog with playful puppy energy, but we've learned that what she wants most isn't endless exercise—it's connection. She thrives when she's with her people and loves being included in everyday life. Whether she's riding in the car, going for a walk, relaxing after a day of adventure, or hoping you'll save her a spot on the couch, Zoey simply wants to belong.

Why We Love Zoey
-She loves other dogs! Zoey had the time of her life at doggie daycare and enjoys making canine friends. She's learned so much by watching other dogs and continues to gain confidence every day.

-She adores people. Her favorite place is wherever you are. She forms strong bonds with her humans and has so much love to give.

-House-trained. Zoey has excellent potty manners in her foster home.

-Crate-trained. She settles well in her crate and never tries to escape. She may whimper for a few minutes—not because she dislikes her crate, but because she'd rather be curled up beside you.

-Cat-friendly potential. Zoey calmly walks past cats without reacting. While formal introductions haven't taken place, she has shown no signs of prey drive or aggression toward them.

-Young and eager to learn. Like any one-year-old dog, she's still polishing her manners and will flourish with continued guidance, consistency, and love.

-One thing you'll notice about Zoey is that she still carries scars around her neck from being tied outside. Those scars tell part of her story.

The rest of her story is written every time she chooses to trust another person, every time she greets someone with a wagging tail, and every time she reminds us that love can overcome an unimaginably hard beginning.

Zoey doesn't need a perfect home. She needs her home. A family that will see beyond where she came from and embrace the incredible, loyal, affectionate companion she has become. If you've been searching for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, Zoey has been waiting patiently to meet you. Could you be the family she's been dreaming of?
