Zoe pending adoption's Story

Zoe - spayed female - 60 pounds
date of birth July 2023

Zoe is a mid sized young adult in peak physical form, with lots of energy, and is always up for an activity. She has absolutely blossomed into a wonderful companion since coming to New Hope. She knows all of the rules of the house, loves any toy (especially the treat ball and snuffle matt), and is most happy chasing a ball or toy around the yard. She is one fast dog! After play time, she loves to snuggle on the couch with you and will shove her head into your lap demanding comfort. Zoe calms nicely when you rub her ears and face. She’s just now catching onto the fact that belly rubs are pretty good too.

Zoe’s best attribute is that she loves people. Everyone is exciting to meet. She does need to learn more controlled manners when visitors come. Zoe rides well in the car and has done very well at New Hope events even though she can be a bit overwhelmed at how many great people there are in the world.

When her harness comes out, she is excited to be off on a new adventure. We have been taking her for long leash walks at a friend’s farm and Zoe loves it; new place, more freedom, new smells – deer poop is apparently irresistible. Zoe does not do well in the cold, though neither do we! In our yard, Zoe is quite clear when she’s had enough running about and needs to warm up inside. With warm weather, Zoe is happy to spend hours in the yard while we mow the lawn or plant.
Zoe’s perfect home is someone with dog experience, lots of time to spend with her and a big fenced yard is a must have. Zoe is an eager learner but a bit tough to train because she’s so fast. She can move onto the next thing or thought before we can get out a treat or “good girl”. Zoe knows to sit for her food bowl, go lie down before gets

her treat ball, stay out of the dining room when the people are eating, look at me when we need her attention, and wait – but sometimes “wait” is shorter than required!

Does Zoe sound like a good fit for you? Apply to meet this loving girl.

Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
