ZOE's Story

"Sweet & laid back"<br/><br/>"Content to be on her own or with others."<br/><br/>"She gets excited, but doesn't jump on you. Well-mannered."<br/><br/>***************************<br/>SWEET DOG ALERT<br/>***************************<br/>Zoe is an 8-year-old pup, who has been lovingly cared for all her life. Sadly her human mom has moved into an elderly care facility, and currently has Miss Zoe alone in the house (with neighbors checking in to feed, water and visit with her). This girl deserves to be in a loving home, and surrendering such a good pup to the shelter is not an option!<br/><br/>Miss Zoe is the perfect combination of affectionate companion and loyal protector. She is smart, friendly, playful, and loves loves spending time with people. She gets along well with men, women, and children, and also enjoys the company of male dogs (she is not fond however of other female pups or cats for that matter). <br/><br/>Zoe loves to play, run, and explore, so a home with a yard or access to outdoor space is ideal. She does enjoy exercise, but doesn't require it. She also enjoys car rides, and is the perfect road-trip companion (usually curling up and falling asleep during the drive).<br/><br/>This girl is good to go. She is house-trained, has no health concerns, and like all our pups, up to date on all vaccinations (and spayed of course). She really is a perfect angel - no separation anxiety, no high prey drive, or other behavioral issues. She is an easy going gal, and at night, she is content to sleep wherever she chooses (usually beside the bed on the floor).<br/><br/>ADDITIONAL DETAILS:<br/><br/>1- Zoe knows SIT. <br/><br/>2- She is not particularly food-motivated, and is much more eager to be close to her people and play with her toys. <br/><br/>3-She walks reasonably well on a leash, though it's not her favorite activity.<br/><br/>4- Like many dogs, Zoe is not fond of thunderstorms or having her nails trimmed, but otherwise she is an easygoing and well-adjusted companion.<br/><br/>Zoe's elderly owner wants nothing more than to see her placed in a safe, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years. If you're looking for a devoted companion who still loves to play, travel, and spend time with her family, please complete an application per the link below. Zoe may very well be the perfect match!<br/><br/>https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJubAHJr4oIe4NkDxnhfBPM1jVRO2s4S0xIjrHVlElAMQWJA/viewform<br/><br/>***********************************************************<br/>ZOE is currently located in Houston, TX, and is available for transport to your area. FurEverAfter's Adoption Policy
Our commitment is always to our pets, so we are thorough in our adoption process. Our application is lengthy, and does not guarantee adoption. Our goal is to find the right family for our pets, and to set everyone up for success. All our pets are fixed before they are adopted. 1- Potential adopters must complete our application form. 2- The foster and/or rescue reaches out to any considered applicants to answer any questions, share more about the pet, and confirm interest. 3- Once the application is approved for a meet and greet, a time & date are scheduled. We require a copy of the drivers license to be sent to us for verification. Out of state adopters schedule a virtual visit, like Facetime. 4- After the meet & greet, we discuss with fosters for final decision. 5- If it appears to be a great match, we move forward with a homecheck. Homechecks are in person or via video apps like whatsapp, zoom or facetime. 6- Once the match is confirmed, we review the contract & invoice with you, and then arrange for you to welcome in your new pet (either in person or via transport - if out of state). NOTE: If your application is approved for adoption, but it is not the best match for the pup you applied for, we can offer you a better match or direct you to a more suitable rescue group.
