Zoe's Story

Meet Zoe

Zoe is a very sweet, loving girl who is still learning that the good life is here to stay. She came to us one early, dark morning after being cruelly dumped near one of our foster homes. At that time, Zoe was severely emaciated, covered in fleas, and unable to put weight on her left hind leg. Despite everything she had been through, her gentle spirit shone through immediately-she wanted nothing more than love and human connection.

Zoe is crate trained and house trained, making her an easy companion in the home. She is still building confidence and strength and hasn't quite mastered a full flight of stairs yet, but she continues to make progress every day.

This girl is incredibly affectionate and people-oriented. Zoe adores being close to her humans and is happiest with her head resting in your lap, soaking up love for hours at a time-it's truly her favorite place to be.

When she's settled on the couch, Zoe can show some mild guarding behavior toward other dogs (never people). She does not bite-she may growl to communicate-but once she's off the couch, she coexists beautifully with dogs of all sizes, even when her person is nearby.

Zoe is a gentle soul who has survived so much and is still learning to trust that she's safe. With patience, love, and a cozy lap, she will make a devoted and deeply loving companion.

Medical note: Zoe is heartworm positive, but her treatment will be fully covered by us, and she is not symptomatic.

Age: 2 years old
Interested in meeting Zoe?
