A home without livestock or poultry will likely suit her best, as she obviously has a high prey drive.<br/><br/>Zoe gets along well with the other shelter dogs she's met, in spite of being quite anxious when she first arrived. <br/><br/>There is a sweetness about Zoe's manner that is very appealing to hang out with. Zoe wants to be close to her people, displaying the loyalty for which both Heelers and Shepherds are famously admired. She is a little shy at first, but once she trusts you she'll be leaning in for snuggles and scritches. <br/><br/>She was a little nervous being hoisted up into the shelter's bathing station, for example, but once she realized her bath wasn't going to hurt, and that additionally she was going to get a nice massage, she behaved very well. <br/><br/>Zoe is apparently quite housetrained. Volunteers make sure to get her out early each morning for a potty break. <br/><br/>Our guess is Zoe will likely bond deeply with her adopters and become a sweet companion and part of the family. Just don't let her near the chickens! Not without some good training, at any rate. <br/><br/>Zoe has been spayed so she is ready to go home with you. <br/><br/>We do not have info on her attitude toward cats at this time. <br/><br/> As always, a meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.<br/><br/>Check out Animal Services’ Fee Flexibility Program: <br/><br/>* Any animal that has been available for adoption for more than 15 days, the overall fee for the adoption will be 50% OFF.
