Zinka's Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Hi there! My name is Zinka, and I'm learning what it means to be part of a real family for the very first time. Not long ago, I was living outside, scared and sick with something called mange. But my amazing foster family and the nice people at the vet took such good care of me - now I'm healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home!

My foster home has two dogs and a cat, and they've all been helping me figure out this "house life" thing. I play with my doggy friends all the time, and we have the best adventures! The cat? Well... I'm still learning her language - it's different - but I'm trying my best to understand.

I've been on several outings and really enjoyed the car ride. I'm starting to learn more about the world. Going in the store, with all the weird smells and people, made me want to hide. Mom said I did a good job and the longer I was there I found it interesting to meet new people. Some of the humans in my past were not always kind to me. It's taking me some time to realize that humans can be nice and I can trust them. When we meet, I may be a bit nervous and shy, but once I get to know you my tail will wag so hard it makes my back end swing from side to side.

I'm a very busy girl and am on the go much of the day but when I crash, I sleep hard. Snuggling on a lap in the evening is the BEST! I think it's the favorite part of my day.

I'm getting more consistent with potty training but still have accidents because it's just so cold outside. Mom says I'm still a puppy and I'll get it figured out. I know where the door is and use a puppy pad if I can't make it outside.

I'm a bit camera shy, I'm not sure why mom keeps pointing that silly square thing at me!

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
