Ziggy's Story

ABOUT ZIGGY
Looking for a social, goofy gal? Come meet Ziggy! This active 1-year-old is full of life and has the best personality. Ziggy came to HAP when her owner was no longer able to care for her. Despite being in the shelter, she is the happiest girl around! Ziggy loves spending time with people, chasing her toys, and zooming around outside. Her underbite is adorable, but her love for life is what truly makes her stand out! Ziggy has thrived participating in our Doggy Day Out program. Here's what some of her volunteer friends had to say about her:

"Ziggy is the sweetest, chillest pup!!! We took her for a ~45 minute walk in the cold and she was great on the leash. The only time she really pulled/barked was when she mistook a bench in the distance for another dog, but she quickly realized her mistake and chilled out. She also loves to sniff EVERYTHING, so she spent a good chunk of time back in our apartment inspecting/sniffing everything in all the rooms, before she plopped and napped on our couch. Very treat motivated and seemed to love belly scratches!" - Monica

"I got to take Ziggy out for a second time today and we had the best time ever. We started off our day getting a pop cup and then took a long walk at Glasgow park. By the time we were done Ziggy was falling asleep sitting up in the car on the way. She is so so sweet and knows how to trick me into giving her treats." - Mackenzie

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
