Ziggy's Story

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Ziggy. She is one of 6 puppies born to Mommy Zoey on April 30. There were 5 girls and 1 male in the litter. Mommy Zoey is a Bull Mastiff. There were two males in the home, one was a mastiff, and one was a shepherd so we are unsure who the father of Ziggy is. Ziggy has a short length coat. We believe she will reach 75 pounds plus when fully mature. She is a beautiful black brindle colour with some white. Currently she is getting taller but hasn't filled out yet. That will happen in the next 6 months.

Ziggy is a wonderful gal. She has a lovely disposition and was the timid one in the litter. With having the opportunity to go to Meet and Greets, she has gained so much more confidence. Ziggy loves going to public events and meeting people. She plays so well with her siblings and they never have disagreements, She is fed in her crate twice daily. She is currently eating Royal Canin Labrador Puppy food. She is used to being bathed often and having her nails trimmed in her foster home. At first she was quite afraid of going on a harness lead and and getting into the car but again has made strong strides in overcoming her fear.

This sweetheart is calm and low energy just like her Mom. She listens well and her recall is excellent. Ziggy still loves chew toys. At night time she and her siblings sleep together on the couch or Karunda bed. Ziggy plays outside with her siblings as well. She plays very gently with all.

The ideal home for Ziggy would be one with children because she is so gentle. She is affectionate and loving to all.

Ziggy is up to date with vaccines, dewormed and will be microchipped before adoption.

We thank Stephen Taylor Photography for showcasing our Ziggy so well!

Visit barksandmeows.ca for an online application.
