Zeus's Story

Zeus was originally surrendered to a shelter because his owners no longer had the time to care for him. We rescued him back in 2019 and he was adopted. Unfortunately, we've now learned Zeus is uneasy around toddlers and his adopters feel he'd be happier in a home without young children.

Zeus would like a home who will give him daily walks. At nine years old he's moderate energy level but still likes to play. He is good on a leash. He likes other dogs but a meet and greet with any dogs already in the home is recommended. He'd also be fine as an only dog if he got lots of human attention and exercise.

Indoors

Zeus enjoys lounging on the couch and occasionally stealing human yummies when you're not looking! He's not overly vocal and likes to roam his fenced back yard. He's housebroken and still loves his toys. Zeus can become protective of his home with strangers. This isn't a bad quality but something any adopter will need to manage by putting him in a different room or crate until he calms and then doing introductions to new people on a leash. Treats help to win him over!

Zeus would make a great companion dog to someone who is looking for a pup past the crazy Husky stage! He's a big boy and weighs 79lbs. Zeus is located in Maryland.

Inquiries can be sent to info@huskyrescueteam.org. Apply to adopt at www.huskyrescueteam.org
