Zero's Story

Meet Zero!
Zero came from a home with 17 other dogs, where he didn’t get much socialization. Since arriving here, he’s been making wonderful progress—his personality is starting to shine as he learns to trust people and enjoy new experiences.

At just 9 months old and around 25 pounds, Zero shouldn’t get much bigger. He’s the brother with more brindle in his coat, making him extra handsome. Zero is still getting used to a leash and can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, you’ll see his sweet nature. He seems interested in other dogs, and with cats, he’d likely be more curious and cautious than anything—he’d do best with one that respects his space. Kids who understand to give him time and patience will also do well with him.

Zero does have a hygroma on his front elbow, likely from laying on hard surfaces in his past. It’s been drained twice since he came to us and has returned, so he just started an anti-inflammatory on 9/23 to help manage it.

If adopted before we’re able to finish his care, Zero will still need the rest of his DHPP vaccine series.
