Zero's Story

From the moment you meet her, it's clear she's a playful soul with a huge heart and a soft spot for snuggles. Zero loves spending time with her people - whether that's gently booping you with her nose, laying right next to you, engaging in a game of tug, or proudly carrying around her tiny Care Bear stuffy or even Hot Wheels. She has a hilarious quirk where she can't quite catch treats or toys (they usually just bonk her on the face), but she'll happily scoop them up and bring them back, tail wagging the whole time. Raised alongside two toddlers, Zero truly thinks she's one of the kids and would thrive in a home with children and another dog or pet to keep her company. She does great with other dogs, loves kids, and is friendly with strangers. Zero is mostly house trained, does well in a crate, walks nicely on leash, and knows a long list of commands including sit, come, lay down, crate, drop it, leave it, go get it, and go potty. She's gentle, responsive to redirection, and rarely vocal - usually only letting out an occasional clumsy, adorable bark or a small whine if she needs out of her crate (she even rings bells to ask to go outside). Her favorite treats include peanut butter, and she's currently eating NutriShish brand food. While she can be a little unsure about swinging hammocks in the dark and gets mildly nervous on car rides (no motion sickness though!), she continues to grow more confident every day. Zero came into her current home as a tiny runt and has blossomed into a loving, loyal, and wonderfully silly companion who lines up her toys along the fence to "bribe" neighboring dogs to play with her. She's ready for a home that can give her more freedom, a furry friend, and plenty of love - because a dog this gentle, smart, and full of personality truly deserves it.

If you think Zero would make a great addition to your family please submit an application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CCLC/Dog
