**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Zazo is an 11 lbs, 2-year old chihuahua/terrier mix. He warms up quickly to calm, encouraging people, especially if there are treats involved! He is very food motivated and a quick learner, already picking up a few tricks. He seems house trained and is smaller than he looks in photos. <br/><br/>He's such a sweet little guy! He loves to "give hugs" and balances on his hind legs when he's waiting for meals. He has been happy to follow his foster family around the house to see what's happening or curl up on the couch when it's time to relax. He's been great walking on a leash. He can be a bit shy or nervous at times in unfamiliar situations, but with some reassurance, he's wagging his tail in no time. <br/><br/>Zazo is looking for a home with adults or older, calm children, as sudden/loud noises can startle him. He has previously lived with other dogs.<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
