Zara's Story
Zara is a 3 year old German Shepherd that came into the shelter as an owner surrender. When Zara came in she was very skittish would not let anyone touch her or go near her with a leash or harness, we later found out it was due to being abused and neglected at her old home. Now she allows smalls pets and will even lick your hands and take treats from you as well as follow you outside to the play yard. She still will not allow a leash, collar or harness near her. She is not fixed and needs to be updated on her shots. Zara would do best in a home where she is the only dog and is given time to adjust and gain the trust of her new owners.
