Zane is a neutered male approximately 7.5 yrs old German shepherd mix. <br/><br/>Zane is very intelligent and we would love to see him with a family who can welcome him as a family member and have time to focus on his amazing abilities and personality traits so that he can truly thrive. <br/><br/>Zane has been great with children of all ages, babies to teens, as well as other dogs and people.<br/><br/>He is a big boy and can forget his size while excited. He has shown some herding tendencies around older children running. <br/> <br/>He is playful and likes to wrestle with his fursister. He loves to chase bubbles in the summer and play snowball catch in the winter. <br/><br/>He is 50% adventurous and 50% chilled out. He loves to eat carrots, watermelon and popcorn. He dislikes car rides and being left alone in strange places.<br/><br/>He has the normal dog traits of barking if someone comes to the door, he could use a little leash work, getting excited and maybe bumping into someone or jumping on the door. All normal doggy behaviors that we can help his new family with. <br/><br/>This is a rehoming situation, our standard adoption fee does not apply. We are working with the family to assist in finding the best forever home for Zane and isr fur sister, Nelly. We want to prevent him being shuffled around and would like any potential adopters to plan on at least a 2nd or 3rd meeting to take her home. Our rescue never let's dogs leave at the first meeting, this way everyone has time to make sure it's the right fit and the dog isn't having to leave with a complete stranger.
