Zackie is an absolute sweetheart cloaked in a shy dog's fur coat. He can be a bit environmentally sensitive and may take a second to get used to new people or places, but once he settles in, he's down for the count! <br/>Zackie is a popular hiking dog with our volunteers, often being described has a gentle guy who loves a good adventure! He's shown some love to creeks in the past, and his nose is always working on overtime as he tries to take in the world around him. <br/>Although growing in affection towards people, Zackie would do best in a home without cats or small animals as well as younger children. He also wouldn't do well on a farm with livestock. If you have another canine companion, he would love to meet them before he headed home with you to make sure they hit it off!<br/>A treat is always a good way to slowly get into guy's heart, and his confidence has grown immensely since he's been with us! <br/>He also loves to have a crate for him to retreat to when things get just a bit too overwhelming for him, so he can decompress.<br/><br/>If you are interested in Zackie, he would love if you came to meet him and gave him a chance to show you his true self!
