Allow us to introduce Zack!<br/><br/>Whether it's his beautiful tan merle coat, potato chip ears, or big duck feet—we all agree Zack is one of the most unique pups around. His pensive, wrinkled face is at odds with his silly ears and constantly wagging tail. <br/><br/>This young man is only a year old, so he is still learning manners around jumping when he's excited and what things are chomp-able vs. not. For these reasons, we recommend a home with no or older children. Luckily, Zack is a lover of treats AND toys, making him a perfectly teachable boy. So far—he can sit, lie down, give paw, and “sit pretty.” He is a bit underweight at 60lbs, slowly but surely filling out with regular meals and intervals of treats. He is not picky with snacks. He loves any sort of soft treat, carrots, potatoes, eggs, and—much to his foster mom's chagrin—frozen leaves (mmm, crunchy). A toy filled with just his regular food will keep him content for hours. <br/><br/>He enjoys loping around the yard, cuddling on the couch, and going for walks. He sleeps quietly in his crate through the night. He is good at going to the door and gazing at you with a very particular look when he needs to go outside to use the bathroom. <br/><br/>He can come on a little strong with other dogs at first, but is very submissive and sweet after patient introductions. He's not met a cat, but our bet is he's the type of boy who would still be trying to make friends with 4 sets of claws embedded in his face, so we're currently recommending a cat-free household.<br/><br/>Zack is already neutered, chipped, vaccinated, and vetted. Despite his time as a stray, he was found to be an exceptionally healthy and handsome boy.
