Zac

Zac is a 2-yr old cattle dog (or hyena?) mix. Some say Zac resembles a laughing hyena, both in looks and personality. He definitely has a lot to say, and literally talks, and laughs, like a hyena! He’s hysterical! So when you meet him, don’t be intimidated by how vocal he is, or his striking good looks for that matter. Unlike a hyena, Zach is very friendly and affectionate with people and dogs. We are unsure about cats, so Zach needs a cat-free household.<br/><br/>Zac lives with four other dogs right now and gets along with the whole pack. He is very appropriate when he plays, even with his 9 lb. foster sibling (it was love at first sight!). While he initiates play with his foster siblings, he is good at respecting their space too.<br/><br/>Zac loves to be outside. He’s always up for a walk, a car ride, or a run in the yard or snow. He can also entertain himself with toys or a bone to chew. He’ll even take himself to sleep upstairs when he’s ready! While Zac loves his play time, he isn’t super high energy. I’d say his favorite past time is probably being a lap dog lol.<br/><br/>Zac is treat-motivated, thus easy to train and manage. He takes his treats gently and waits his turn among the other dogs. But keep the goodies out of reach because Zac is known to counter surf!<br/><br/>Zac is about 35 lbs., house trained, crate trained, microchipped, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
