Yogi (Black) Bear's Story
Yogi Bear is that happy-go-lucky, "let's do life together" kind of dog that makes every day a little brighter.

This young Terrier mix was surrendered to Harbor Animal Shelter (A2244432) simply for being high energy, but in foster he's proving that with love, structure, and activity, he's an absolute gem. Yogi is the definition of a people dog-he wants to be wherever you are. If you're working, he'd love to curl up in your lap; if you're walking around the house, he's your little shadow. When it's playtime, he's all in for fetch, zoomies, and toys. When it's rest time, he transforms into a total cuddle bug.

House-trained and crate-trained, Yogi sleeps in (yes, he'll happily snooze until around 8am!) and hasn't had accidents in his foster home. He's very smart, knows sit and paw, is working on "wait" and "come," and only hops on the couch when invited...unless he's feeling a little cheeky. He can be a bit jumpy and excited, and he pulls some on leash, so he'll thrive with someone willing to keep up his training and help him learn how to settle.

Yogi is friendly with people and dogs, and he's especially fascinated by kids-he loves watching them at the nearby school. Because he's enthusiastic and bouncy, older children would be the best fit. He'd do wonderfully with an active adopter, a playful dog buddy, or a family who wants a fun, lovable companion to include in their daily adventures (and yes, in their pup cup runs).

If you're looking for a bright, affectionate, high-energy best friend who will adore you with his big, soulful eyes, Yogi Bear is ready to go home.

If you're interested in adopting, head to hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt to apply!

Est DOB: 12/1/2024
Adoption Fee: $550
