Fully grown and incredibly affectionate, Yogi is a true Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. His favorite place to cuddle is curled up right against your neck, where he can sneak in plenty of his sweet Yogi kisses.

Sadly, Yogi owner passed away unexpectedly, and the adult children were going to have them euthanized. Thankfully, CRT’s dedicated volunteers immediately jumped into action, making an eight-hour round trip to Houston to rescue Yogi and transport him back to Dallas. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring him to safety. Yogi is now secure and receiving lots of love in his wonderful CRT foster home!

When Yogi isn’t snuggling, he is ready to play! He loves toys, running and tumbling with other small dogs, and having a canine buddy to share his adventures with. He gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and would love a home with a playful little friend. He could also be happy as an only dog, provided his people are around to give him plenty of attention and companionship.

Yogi is a champion eater, is making great progress with potty training, and has already learned to use the doggy door with supervision. He enjoys going for walks on his harness and leash, and at bedtime, he sleeps happily in bed. He is also friendly when meeting new people and quickly wins them over with his affectionate personality.

Because Yogi is so tiny, he must always be closely supervised while outside. Birds of prey and other wildlife can pose a danger to toy-sized dogs, so his person will need to remain nearby to keep him safe. Yogi can also slip through or underneath surprisingly small openings, making a secure fence essential. His forever home must have a solid wooden fenced yard with no gaps; chain-link and wrought-iron fencing will not be suitable for him.

There are no children in Yogi’s foster home, but we believe his friendly, playful nature could make him a good match for a family with children ages eight and older.

Yogi is a happy, lovable little guy who is ready to give his whole heart to his forever family. Whether he is tossing around his toys, playing with a doggie friend, or curling up as close to you as he can possibly get, Yogi simply wants to love and be loved. Could you be the one he has been waiting for?

Adoption Details:

Yogi is being fostered in the Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) area.
