She was rescued from a breeding operation that was closed down by law enforcement.
Yena is a young, (about a year and a half old) German Shepherd.
She weighs just 54 pounds .Her bloodline is from Germany: the breeders imported just for breeding purposes.
She is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested negative for heartworms, has been wormed, is current on heartworm and flea prevention and is microchipped.

European German Shepherds are very similar to their American cousins. These dogs tend to be slightly smaller.
European German Shepherds tend to live longer than American German Shepherds due to the way they are bred: the American dogs tend to live between 7 and 10 years, while the European lives between 10 and 12 years. American GSDs are more prone to joint problems due to their sloped back and shorter back legs.
Yena does have a shorter coarser coat as well. German Shepherds originating from Germany tend to have slightly thicker, denser coats with a more pronounced double coat compared to their American counterparts.
Yena loves being brushed, from the day we got her she allowed us to do what we needed to do. She was extremely matted and pelts were literally pulled off of her.
The bath terrified her but she tolerated it much better than we thought she would. It was probably the first bath she ever had in her life. She was even a champ when we blew her coat dry!
Yena is in a foster home with other dogs and is great with them. She is also good with children.
A GSD is NOT for a first time pet owner. She will need an experienced owner.
Yena is in Memphis.
