I love relaxing on the couch, soaking up the sunshine, joining you for car rides, and even participating in workouts, yoga, and stretching sessions.<br/><br/>General Socialization Notes:<br/>I am a gentle dog but I can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations. I typically need a little time and patience to warm up, especially with men. I often bond more quickly with women. Once I feel safe, my affectionate and playful personality shines through. I am fully potty trained, I do well when left alone, and I have excellent house manners. On walks, I can be startled by scooters, bicycles, and large trucks, so continued confidence-building and patient handling with my humans will be helpful.<br/><br/>Does Yara like other animals?<br/>I have lived successfully with multiple dogs throughout my life, including another Pit Bull mix, a small dog, and a blind Australian Shepherd. While I can coexist with other dogs, I believe I would thrive either as the only pet or with one calm, well-matched canine companion.<br/><br/>Does Yara like children?<br/>I can be anxious around very young children and would do best in a home without them. I have lived with older children ages 8 and 10 with no issues.
