Y_PLUS: Marty's Story

Marty is an adorable little Chihuahua that we brought into our rescue from a puppy mill situation. He was adopted and returned back after 2 years for reasons that I will never understand and do not match this little boy at all. We were told this little 4lb boy was chasing cats. Not true, he is currently living with several cats and does not pay any attention to them. He gets along well with my big and small dogs. Upon arrival in my home he was scared to death, hid in the back of his crate. After a few days his wonderful and sweet personality emerged. Slowly but surely he has come around. When I call him and talk to him his little tail is just wagging 240. He is learning to come out of the crate and play, lay up on the couch with me and snuggle, being petted and having his soft ears caressed. I keep his crate door open as he loves to go back in to relax and look around at what is going on. When it is time to go "outside" I do have to get him out of the crate and bring him outside. But when he is done doing his business, he runs right back in the house with the rest of my "kids". He enjoys eating his dry food and getting treats. He is quite as a mouse. With Marty being on the shy side, I would suggest his future forever home be adults only. Small children would make him to nervous. He is really doing well in the housebreaking department, no mistakes in his crate during a work day. He sleeps on my couch at night time. Marty's next home must have the love and patience that he so deserves and with that he won't let you down. contact his foster mom, Nancy at gottahavedobes@ yahoo.com.
