Xena has met children and has been appropriate and polite. She's calm and gentle and loves spending time in her kennel, eating her meals out of a snuffle mat or enjoying an enrichment toy. She loves food so training is a breeze with this little chow hound, and her beautiful spirit is infectious! <br/><br/>Found a day after Thanksgiving with open fractures in both her front legs, emaciated and anemic, Xena is showing us all how to be fighters and survivors while keeping our sweet and happy disposition intact!<br/><br/>Rescued by a friend who couldn't provide the urgent medical care Xena needed, she made it to our Rescue Rocks and was taken right to Miami Veterinary Specialists for assessment and to treat her injuries and illness.
