Xena's Story

XENA (formerly Velvet) is a stunning senior hound with a wonderful disposition and gorgeous markings. Sadly, her current owners can no longer take care of her. They adopted her from The Rescue Express 8 years ago and have loved her and taken great care of her. But due to their health restrictions, they can no longer give her the exercise and attention she needs. XENA is senior, 12 years old. 66 pounds. We know there are loving homes out there that love senior dogs. She is healthy, up to date on shots and preventions. She is good with other dogs, cats unknown. Owner says: "She is very loyal, very affectionate." She does not have sep anxiety. Please open your heart to this sweet senior dog. The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy

All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop.
