Xbox has a SEVERE case of crate anxiety that typically manifests with barking, and excessive drooling on himself to the point there are standing puddles in the crate.

Traditional crate training (crated for meals, cry it out method, crated in the same room exc) does not work for Xbox, and leads to increased anxiety episodes.
He is currently working with his foster on this by with the "15" method. This is where a puppy is crated for 15 minutes then brought back out for play for 15 minutes, so they know someone will always come and get him. We will slowly increase to hour long increments in hopes this helps him understand the crate isn't unsafe.

FROM THE FOSTER: This sweet boy is Xbox, and he's been such fun to have around! An avid lover of hikes, and visits to the pond. Xbox is a Midwestern transplant from Texas, so he gets chilly easy but never chilly enough he wants to miss out on an adventure. We do recommend a winter coat for him!

This beautiful golden boy is excitable when you first arrive home for the day, but will settle right down after a potty break and the start of your nightly routine... he's fast asleep on the couch next me as I type this!

Xbox loves all other dogs and cats but really struggles to read social queues from other animals, and knowing when to give them a break from play or some space. He has to be with dog savvy cats and puppy patient dogs only. Don't fret however! When settled down he's known for napping alongside side our Labradors or snuggled around our cat.
