***05/28/26 - Xavi is still available!<br/>Xavi is ready to go!! Remember when we got this boi in, he had been found covered in some sort of oil or grease. Dozens of baths and kisses later, he is like a brand new dog! <br/>Xavi is the Sour Patch Kid version of a Chihuahua. He is sweet and sour! He loves to cuddle, and play all day with his people. But try to close the door with him on the other side, and you my friend shall have HELL to pay! He will snap and go full baby shark 🦈. But stop and let him join you and all is right with the world again. It's like nothing happened at all! Call it cheeky😙, call it Chihuahua gaslighting, it doesn't matter... we crack up every time he goes heathen.<br/>Xavi is a tiny 6 lb, 10ish year old senior. He does great with other dogs and people (as long as kennels or doors aren't involved lol). He is house broken, but can mark if there is another marking male around. <br/>Xavi is vaccinated and neutered and ready to go!!<br/>Interested in Xavi, fill out an application at www.aychihuahuarescue.org/adopt<br/><br/><br/>**03/29/26 - Meet Xavi!<br/>This lil dude comes to us from the valley after he was found in a shop parking lot covered in oil. A good Samaritan was able to rescue him and help get him cleaned up a little. Several degreasing baths later, Xavi is looking much more like a pup and less like a muskrat. He's feeling a lot better and happier now that he is oil and flea free! Xavi is ~10 years old and is now about 5.9 lbs. <br/>Xavi's coat is still a little stained but he's becoming more handsome with every wash! <br/>Xavi is clingy and affectionate, but has a bit of a Mr. Hyde side to him. He will follow his foster mama around, lay next to her, ask for lovins, and he will even go in and out of his crate without hesitation. But if you dare go to close it and lock it, all hell breaks loose! Xavi turns Hyde and will lunge, growl and nip as you try to lock his kennel. But once he is closed in and you back away, he is just all Sweet boi again. And in the morning when he is left out of his kennel, he is still just as happy as a clam (Assuming that clams are happy, I haven't actually asked one). Xavi is definitely a sweet but spicy little old man, and we are hoping he will continue to mellow as he adjusts to his home life. <br/>So if you also hate locked doors and are interested in adopting this sweet weirdo, fill out an application at www.aychihuahuarescue.org/adopt<br/><br/><br/>**03/26/26 - Approximately 10 yrs old, 6 lbs, sweet boy but potential fear biter.
