Wynnie's Story
Wynnie came into rescue as an owner surrender. Her owner lived in an RV and Wynnie just has too much energy to live in a small, confined space. She wants to run and needs to run so a fenced yard would be wonderful and ideal for this girl. She could be leash walked but they would need to be often, regular and long to wear her out. Dog park visits would be an option if she could go often. Wynnie is very active so an active home that can give her plenty of exercise and stimulation is what she needs. She would not be a good fit for a sedentary home or lifestyle. Wynnie does well with kids, other dogs and cats. She does not climb or dig and she is used to being walked/tethered in her original home so leash trained also. We were told she is fully housebroken, although we never guarantee that any of our dogs are housebroken. She is crate trained overnight with us. Wynnie has been loved and well cared for but she just wasn't a good fit for the RV life. Wynnie will be a great companion for an active home and family. She is super sweet and loves everyone!
Wynnie saw the vet on 5/8/25 with her original owner and was found to have no issues. She has been started on Simparica Trio for flea control and heartworm prevention with us and was on Bravecto and Simparica with her previous owner monthly. She is not due for a heartworm test until 3/10/26 since she has been on monthly heartworm prevention since puppyhood.. Wynnie weighed 21.4 pounds as of 10/6/25 when her owner had her spayed. She is fully vetted now and ready to find her forever family.
If interested in giving Wynnie her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Wynnie's adoption fee will be $200 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Wynnie based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for her, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.
