Wyatt pending adoption's Story
Wyatt
Weight: 45 pounds (2026-10-01)
Height to Shoulder: 19 inches

Wyatt is a handsome, medium-to-high energy boy who is approximately 1 and 1/2 year old weighing 45 pounds and 19 inches high from foot to top of shoulders. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. He has been diagnosed with a heart murmur but was confirmed that no further cardiac tests needed unless changes upon his yearly checkup are noted. He also has been dealing with allergies and is on medication for itchiness but we continue to try and rule out what might be the cause, though it can be a slow process.

He is beginning to show his true personality and he's proving to be an incredibly loving, affectionate companion.

Wyatt loves being around people and is happiest when he's getting attention, (belly rubs)or simply relaxing beside you on the couch. His favorite activities include going for walks, playing fetch, playing with other dogs his energy level, riding in the car, chewing on his Kongs, and carrying around his favorite stuffed toys.

Like any young dog, Wyatt is still very much a puppy at heart. He enjoys rough-and-tumble play, so he would do well with a canine sibling who enjoys an energetic play style. NOTE: He loves children but due to his strength and puppy ways he would do best with children 10 and up. Though he does well with our cat he would do best in a home without one due to his rough playing nature.

Wyatt sleeps quietly in his kennel for about seven hours each night and does well when taken outside immediately after being let out of kennel. He's currently about 90% potty trained and continues to make progress with consistency and routine.

He enjoys his walks and does well on a leash. He does shows interest in chasing cars and bicycles but continues to show improvement with guidance and positive redirection to help him stay focused and safe.

Wyatt knows a few basic commands but is still learning, so he'll need a family committed to continuing his training using gentle, positive reinforcement. This is especially important because Wyatt is a sensitive boy. Yelling, intimidation, or sudden movements cause him to become frightened, he will cowar and may urinate when scared. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, he has already begun to gain confidence and continues to improve every day.

Wyatt is looking for a family that understands his past doesn't define his future. He deserves a home where he will be treated as a cherished family member, given the time he needs to build trust, and loved unconditionally. In return, Wyatt will reward his family with unwavering loyalty, endless kisses, wonderful memories, and more love than you could ever imagine.

If you're looking for a best friend and are ready to help a deserving young dog continue growing into the confident, happy companion he's meant to be, Wyatt just might be the perfect match.

Wyatt truly deserves the very best that life has to offer.

Adoption fee is $295. He is microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and current on vaccines.
