Wren's Story

Wren joined us from our friends at B&R Bunkhouse, and he has been winning hearts ever since! At around 11 months old, he's full of youthful charm and has one of the friendliest personalities you may ever meet. This happy-go-lucky pup seems to think everyone is his friend and greets the world with enthusiasm and joy. He thrives in his doggy play group and enjoys spending time with other canine companions. Wren also keeps a clean kennel, which is a great sign as he transitions toward home life. He will need someone willing to take the time to train his puppiness out of him and give him consistency and boundaries.Please submit an application at http://helpinghoundsdogrescue.org A processed application is required to visit the rescue.

Helping Hounds Dog Rescue Inc.'s Adoption Policy

You must have a fully processed application to meet our dogs. Once the application has been accepted, you can visit weekdays, Tues ~ Friday noon-6pm without an appointment. Appointments are needed to visit our dogs on weekends. Applicants must be at least 21 years old Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for the dog. Adoption applications must be filled out completely and will be reviewed by our Adoption Coordinator. We will need picture ID, with name and current address, to verify your information. If you own your home, we will verify this information with your town’s assessment. If you rent, we must get permission from whoever owns the property. If you are looking to adopt a dog and already have animals at home, we must speak with your vet to verify your animals are up to date with current vaccinations and spayed or neutered. We will also ask if your animals are seen for routine check ups. Bring along any family members that live at your home, including other pets and children, for an introduction to your new canine companion.

Our Mission

Volunteers are the heart of our organization. Our Volunteers walk dogs, represent us at events, participate in our I Speak Doggie program and our Fund Development.
