Woody's Story

Meet Woody, aka Sir Woody Hucklebee Amblesworth. A fine, distinguished gentleman in his twilight prime — steady of heart, soft of step, and full of quiet charm.
This 9 year old boy is truly such a gentle soul, who is tired of being moved around, and just wants his own safe quiet place to be, and to be loved! He’s got some joint issues that make him stiff and needs help up stairs, but don’t let that dissuade you! He happily goes for walks, and will keep you company! While a lot of dogs might require a fenced in yard to keep them close by, this boy goes outside and doesn’t really know why you’ve brought him outside haha. He goes potty and then asks to go back inside! He operates on a slow schedule as his foster mama says, and being an older distinguished gentleman himself, he asks his home to be on the quieter side, because that’s how he rolls. He’s extremely good with cats, and does okay with respectful dogs who are kind enough to give him his own space, but would probably prefer a home as the only dog. Who can blame him though, after living in a shelter environment when he just wants peace and quiet.
He is potty trained, crate trained, but he does not like to sleep in it at night, and likes to sleep beside your bed, and that is very important for him, to feel safe.
If this darling boy, touches your heart, please send in an application!
