Wonka, aka Charlie, is a Super Snooty that deserves some attention!!! <br/>You might look at Charlie and wonder what his special needs are….because he carries them on the inside and not the outside!!! Charlie has IBD….and if you yourself have IBD then you understand why that makes him special needs!!<br/>For whatever reason, some dogs, just like humans, have a super sensitive and easily inflamed digestive system. This means he has a special food he eats (we’ve found he does best on the vegan food Wild Earth) and that even though he is a really easy going guy, if there is a stressful situation, it’s going to show in his belly. <br/>IBD does not mean you are dealing with lots of accidents!!!!! For Charlie it shows because he gets bloated (his belly and colon have been tacked so that he doesn’t bloat and flip). But that is minimal now that we have his food figured out. It also might mean that with a change in his routine (like moving to a new home)….he might need to go out to potty more in the beginning, or maybe he gets nauseas and he might even drop a few pounds. iBD is autoimmune so flairs can come with emotional and physical stress. <br/>But let’s talk about all his best parts. Let’s talk about how he is the best cuddler in the world. How is amazing with other dogs and kids and every human he meets. How despite how sick he was before we got it all figured out he never stopped wagging and carrying on like everything was fine. He is first and foremost a lab through and through….who just happens to have a sensitive stomach. <br/>He loves to go on rides and visits and to see all he can see in the world and sometimes he loves that too much and you have be okay with raising your voice a little and asking him to sit his lab booty down….you’ll get to the dog park when you get to the dog park, Charlie!!!!!<br/>Charlie is about six years old and we are super happy if we can keep his weight up around 60 lbs, but even happier if he can gain a little more. <br/><br/>Wonka is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you wish to contribute to our medical costs.
