Meet Wonder.<br/><br/>Some dogs come into your life for a reason.<br/>Wonder came into mine twice.<br/><br/>I met Wonder while working at Beaumont Animal Care. We bonded almost instantly. When he landed on the code red list, I took him home on a whim. My ex-boyfriend adopted him, and the two of them became inseparable - truly thick as thieves. They were homeless together. They traveled together. They shared a bed every single night. Wonder wasn't just a dog - he was his person's shadow, his road dog, his constant.<br/><br/>When my ex passed away, Wonder came back to me.<br/><br/>The intention was always to keep him. I love this dog deeply. But love also means recognizing when a life isn't serving someone the way they deserve.<br/><br/>Rescue life is loud. It's revolving doors. It's new dogs, new faces, new energy every day. While Wonder is dog-friendly and tolerant, he struggles with the constant change. He thrives in stability. He misses belonging to one person. He misses going everywhere with his human.<br/><br/>So after long conversations with trainers, our board, and my family, we've made the incredibly difficult decision to find Wonder a home that can give him what he truly needs: consistency, companionship, and a quieter life.<br/><br/>This will not be a typical adoption.<br/><br/>I will be extremely selective. I will require updates. I care deeply about the life this dog lives. He has already lost his person once.
