At just 11 months old, Wishbone's life nearly ended before it really began. He came to us from an overcrowded high-kill shelter in North Carolina where he was facing euthanasia simply because of his breed due to local breed bans. Since Wishbone has been in our care, we've devoted the time and resources to really get to know him so we can find the very best type of home for him. We've also worked to set him up for success by investing in his training and helping him build the skills he needs to thrive. Wishbone is sweet, smart, confident, and incredibly eager to please. He has been working hard with our friends at Delmarva K9 and has truly been the most perfect student. He loves learning and thrives when he has structure and guidance. This handsome boy is the kind of pup who values respect. If you respect him, he will absolutely respect you in return. Because of that, Wishbone will do best with an experienced owner who can continue his training and provide the structure and clear boundaries that help him succeed. In return, you'll get a loyal, loving companion who is ready to bond deeply with his person and be the best boy he can be. If you're looking for a smart, devoted pup and are willing to give him the guidance he deserves, Wishbone might just be your perfect match.

**To ensure Wishbone starts his new life on the right paw, we are offering to cover some training sessions with his new family.

Fosters Location: Pittsville, MD

Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app
