Winter's Story

Meet Winter

Winter is a handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound neutered Husky who is ready to find the family he can finally call his own.

Winter struggled in the shelter environment, but once he moved into a home, we got to see a completely different dog. His foster describes him as nothing but a perfect gentleman.

Winter is crate trained, potty trained and has no separation anxiety. He rides well in the car, loves food and treats without showing any resource guarding, and hes not your typical chatty Husky—he usually saves his voice for when he actually needs something.

He is dog friendly with both male and female medium and large dogs and loves having friends to run, chase and play with. He could happily live with another compatible dog or be the only dog and soak up all the attention himself.

And if you have a pool? Even better. Winter loves taking a dip!

Winter has a wonderful medium energy level. Hes happy to play in the yard and join you for adventures, but what matters most to him is simply being included in family life.

His ideal home could be with a single person, couple or family. A house where he has room to move and play would be the best fit, and apartment living likely isnt ideal for him.

Winter didnt get to show his best self in the shelter.
